Nucleon tiles (proton/neutron)

Nucleon tiles (proton/neutron)

prusaprinters

The tiles represents either a proton or a neutron depending on what side is facing upwards. Positive and negative pegs enables them to be attached to each other in a hexagonal structure. In a classroom setting the student may use these tiles to construct heavier nuclei from bare protons learning about the p-p-chains and further nuclear reactions in stars or just light nuclei reactions in general. The weak interaction is represented by just flipping the tile but neither electron nor neutrino is represented in any way.
