This is a highly detailed building set of a nuclear power plant, perfect for creating immersive tabletop wargaming scenery. To achieve the best results, players can add intricate details beyond what is possible with 3D printing, using materials like thin copper wire, fine styrene stock in various shapes, filler compound, and other options to enhance the finished pieces. Originally designed for use in 6mm BattleTech (1/285) games, where each hex measures approximately 1.75 inches, this model set can be easily scaled to fit other game scales. To ensure proper scaling in mm, players simply need to multiply the .STL file by 25.4 in their slicing software. Printing settings include a printer of choice with specific settings as follows: Rafts are not necessary; Supports should be turned off for optimal results; Resolution should be set at .15mm per layer; and Infill should range from 2-15% depending on the desired level of detail. Note that it's essential to multiply the scale by 25.4 if working in mm. This model set is designed specifically for single-extruder .5mm ABS filament, but can also be printed successfully with other thermoplastic filaments, powder substrates like those used by 3DSystems or zCorp, or similar additive processes. However, it's not suitable for small children due to its detailed nature and potential choking hazards.
