NuCanoe Frontier Transom Anchor Guide

NuCanoe Frontier Transom Anchor Guide

This anchor guide was engineered to prevent rope wear on NuCanoe Frontier 12 kayaks. It was rigorously test fitted on a 2012 and a 2016 F12, but it may also fit other models as well. While NuCanoe offers a transom anchor kit for their kayaks, I wasn't satisfied with the design. I wanted something more secure and to be able to remove the anchor and rope from the kayak without having to disconnect the anchor from the rope. A threaded female receiver is installed on the inside of the kayak. It has enough clearance to slide over a rope stop or a knotted rope end for easy removal. I added thin gaskets (model included) to help buffer the parts and add some "stickiness" to prevent the parts from loosening during use. They are optional, but they can be useful in certain situations. The threads have an extra .1mm clearance on both parts to allow for inconsistencies or expansion during printing. I recommend using a random seam alignment to ensure cleaner threads. I printed mine in PETG with a small brim to prevent warping. A fusion model is provided. Please note that this has not been field tested yet!
