NUC Mount and LCD Mount for Inmoov

The tablets recommended for the Inmoov are no longer available, and many of them are too weak. This mount is designed for the Intel NUC computer. Intel NUC NUC7i5BNK Mini PC/HTPC, with an Intel Dual-Core i5-7260U processor that runs up to 3.4GHz, 8GB DDR4 RAM, 128GB SSD storage, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Thunderbolt 3, and support for 4k resolution, dual monitor capabilities, and Windows 10 Pro. This mount will work with all current Intel NUCs as long as the design doesn't change. The NUC will be mounted in the battery compartment. To do this, you'll need to remove the battery mounts and screw the mount directly to the back plate. It's a very tight fit because of the USB wires on the NUC that run towards the sides. A VESA mount is included with the Intel NUC, which you'll use to attach the NUC to the new printed plate. The NUC doesn't come with a screen. I use a 7-inch capacitive touch screen from Amazon, specifically the GeeekPi 1024x600 model. You can find this screen on Amazon at https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B074Z6FCFW/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 This screen will be pressed into the cover. Make sure your printer is calibrated, as it's an interference fit. Pass the cables through the holes in the back and screw everything together. This will allow you to mount the NUC in the standard Inmoov back. The touch screen uses two USB ports: one for communication and one for power. I'm not sure if the 6-volt batteries can provide enough power, but it hasn't been tested yet. The fit is also tight because the HDMI cable needs to be fed through a hole under the head after the panel is put in place. I might modify the design to mount the driver board lower to see if it will fit with the cable attached. Note: After using this setup for a bit, I found that the 7-inch LCD screen is too small. I recommend looking into an 8-inch or 9-inch screen instead. The frame used to mount the screen is easy to modify for different sizes. While the 7-inch screen is readable and useable, it's a bit hard to use as a touch screen. The NUC has four built-in USB ports and two more can be added with a new top plate. I chose to add a Thunderbolt-to-4-USB port hub to give me a total of eight USB ports. The Intel NUC is significantly more powerful than the tablets recommended for the Inmoov, and it starts up in a fraction of the time. This computer will be more than sufficient for quite some time.
