Since the Sudan People's Liberation Movement-North clashed with the government of Sudan back in June 2011, the government has relentlessly launched almost daily aerial attacks against innocent civilians living in the Nuba Mountains. Those who survive these brutal assaults are often left to suffer from gruesome injuries, including severed limbs and mangled internal organs. Nuba farmers watch helplessly as their farms and food stores are frequently destroyed by the relentless aerial attacks, leaving them fearful of tending to their land. Hunger persists, and many are struggling with severe malnutrition, some even dying from starvation in places like Kao Nyaro. Despite the dire need for food aid, not a single organization involved in humanitarian efforts has made an attempt to deliver assistance to the Nuba region. This includes prominent groups such as UNHCR, the World Food Program, CARE, Mercy Corps, the International Red Cross, and Oxfam.
