NR200 USB-C Front Panel
thingiverse
This part allows replacing the audio jack on the NR200 top/front panel with a USB-C port. This will require permanently modifying the top panel to expand the audio jack hole. The theory is that folks won't be using the audio jack quite as much as USB-C, so we can leverage that location on the case. This is a convenient spot to modify, as there's already a hole, the panel is plastic, has mounting holes already, and doesn't require major work any metal parts. There are many USB-C cables out there, but most will likely require major modifications to fit the space. This one seems to meet the need: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0828XGHHZ In theory no additional hardware is needed, as we're reusing what is there as pressure fit seems pretty good. But the cable and mount has a M1 hole to allow for fixed attachment just in case. (Yes, I haven't cut into the case yet. I'm a little afraid to :) #### History * 2020-10-08 (v9): First "good enough" version. seems to fit. Seems to align. Have NOT modified the top panel yet, so don't actually know. * 2020-10-08 (v13): Hopefully sits a "little" lower to align better to panel hole. Added tip shim to fill in audio plug hole (hopefully). Cleaner look.
