My sewing machine was missing a built-in thread cutter, so I designed and fabricated a nr.11 blade holder that securely holds the blade in place with a robust locking mechanism. BEWARE: HANDLING BLADES REQUIRES CAUTION. THE HOLDER FEATURES A SAFETY LATCH THAT MUST BE SECURELY ENGAGED TO PREVENT ACCIDENTAL CLOSURE. NEVER USE THIS PART WITH A BROKEN OR DAMAGED LATCH. This device has not undergone rigorous safety testing and its safe use cannot be guaranteed in any environment. Handle with extreme care and replace immediately if you have any doubts about its integrity. For optimal performance, position the holder so that the slot faces upwards, eliminating the risk of the blade becoming dislodged. To ensure a secure fit, attach the holder to your sewing machine using double-sided tape. A standard nr. 11 blade is provided as a reference point for the correct shape and size.
