NP-F Series Battery Holder for Two Batteries with Locks. I use an Atomos Shogun HDMI Monitor/Recorder in conjunction with a Sony 6300 on a shoulder rig for capturing video, and the Shogun is experiencing issues with loose battery contacts. It also struggles with battery life when using a single NP-F970 battery in its native battery slot. Doubling the batteries in series and feeding it via D-Tap connectors to its D-Tap DC Power Adaptor (supplied with the Shogun) appears to be a better option. The project should also work for any other device that can utilize readily available rechargeable batteries in the NP-F range. Some components need to be purchased: The pins and sleeves - I acquired these from Reichelt 4 x ZS 26 SW Miniature plug, 2.6 mm, black https://www.reichelt.de/Banana-Plugs-Toy-Plugs/ZS-26-SW/3/index.html?ACTION=3&LA=3&ARTICLE=23208&GROUPID=7473&trstct=vrt_pdn 4 x ZS 26 RT Miniature plug, 2.6 mm, red https://www.reichelt.de/ZS-26-RT/3/index.html?ACTION=3&GROUPID=7473&ARTICLE=23207&SHOW=1&OFFSET=16& If you decide to add D-Tap options to your battery holder, consider: Koolertron Male D-Tap B Type Power Tap to 4-Port Female D-Tap P-Tap Hub Adapter for Photography Power https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00XXNX9PY/ref=pe_3187911_185740111_TE_item I utilized this to add four D-Tap ports to the battery holder, and reused the D-Tap plug on the end of the cable. The project is currently held together using a plastic solvent, but a remake will employ screws/nuts and bolts for assembly.
