Nozzler Organizer - MK10 (7mm)
thingiverse
After printing the original, I discovered Shedg's design is tailored for MK8 (6mm) nozzles, but my printer uses MK10 (7mm) nozzles. I then printed the design at a scaled size of 116% in both x and y directions, thinking it should work, but there was an issue with the holes - nothing fit. I designed and printed the Hole Test, featuring holes on two lines: 6.00, 6.25, 6.50, 6.75, 7.00, 7.25, 7.50, and 7.75 mm. I wanted to see how my 7mm nozzle would fit in. The threads fitted perfectly into the 7.00mm hole, but the collar sat up. In the 7.75mm hole, the collar fit snugly. So I imported the scaled design and resized all the holes to 7.75mm. My MK10 nozzles snapped neatly into place, but can be removed by hand. I modified the taller cover to add finger tabs; it fitted just a bit too tightly. The walls are quite thick due to scaling, but I really like his design and didn't want to alter its look. You will likely need to sand the cover and base slightly to relieve high points and, as seen in the picture, I added foam to the lid by simply pressing it in. Without it, the nozzles would fall out. The small lid rubs against the tips, causing unnecessary wear - use the big lid and any available foam. I also reworked the numbers. As evident from my photo, the numbers stand up so I could mark them with a Sharpie, making them easier to read. To get those to print correctly, I used "Print Thin Lines" in Cura.
