Nozzle, low pressure
thingiverse
Various nozzles for low-pressure watering are estimated to operate between 0.5 and 1.0 bar. The hose connection is barbed, designed specifically for a 10 mm hose (inner diameter). The goal was to create a nozzle that could water plants from 6 feet above with ease. Key features include: * A wide coverage area of approximately 3.86 square feet. * Soft, gentle water droplets. * High water flow rates. * Functions properly even at low pressures, making it compatible with a 12-volt DC pump. Through extensive testing and experimentation, I have learned and applied the following principles: The nozzle is comprised of three integrated nozzles, each equipped with its own distinct feature. When these integrated nozzles converge at a specific distance, angle, and tip diameter, they create a collision that breaks the water stream into droplets. * Distance plays a crucial role in building up pressure and directing the stream. * Angle determines the spray area, with smaller angles resulting in wider spray patterns. * Diameter controls the exit pressure, which in turn affects the size of the droplets. By using a higher-pressure pump, it is possible to create a water mist with these nozzles.
