Nozzle Height Adjustment - Calibration Rectangle

Nozzle Height Adjustment - Calibration Rectangle

Please note that this test assumes a perfectly level bed. Prusa printers have an automatic bed leveling mechanism that calculates variations in your bed height, but other printers may require manual leveling. If your bed isn't level, this test will likely produce flawed results. This is just a single layer (0.1mm) height rectangle designed to help you fine-tune your extruder nozzle height with precision. Set your Live Z-Adjust to the desired level and print this rectangle, making adjustments as needed while it's printing - there's no need to wait until it's finished. I've made the rectangle long for a reason. If gaps appear in the print, lower the nozzle 0.05 mm at a time until they disappear completely. If the nozzle is scraping against the print, raise it about 0.025 mm at a time until it stops doing so. Once your first layer looks perfect, you can fine-tune to within about 0.012 mm until you're satisfied with the results.
