Nozzle Fan 60mm Prusa i3 MK2S Upgrade
thingiverse
Hello fellow Prusa i3 Mk2s enthusiasts, I'm thrilled to introduce you to my custom version of the 60mm Fan Part designed by Christian Auth. When I stumbled upon this attractive design on Thingiverse, I was eager to print it. However, I soon realized that the STL files were missing. Undeterred, I decided to create my own rendition of this part, allowing you to print it with any material you prefer and not just the ones specified in the G-code files. New Version The goal of this new design was to strike a balance between simplicity, functionality, and minimal space usage. To achieve this, I utilized the 1.5cm space occupied by the Prusa fan. Although the Extruder Motor made it challenging, I managed to make it work. Please share your prints! Assembly Instructions Remove the old fan from the Extruder cover, leaving the "HOT" component intact as it's required for this part. Utilize the guide on the left side to position the new fan correctly, taking note that it's not aligned with the Extruder motor. To install the fan, follow these steps: Solder or crimp the wires together and then screw the fan onto the mount. Release Notes: - v1: Initial release - v2: Adjusted the nut hole to fit perfectly - v3: Enlarged the fan hole for improved airflow
