This is the advanced height and angle adjustment system for the nozzle cooler on i3 Prusa clones equipped with MK8 extruders. You can easily adjust the fan's height and secure it in place, eliminating any issues that may arise when switching to different nozzles or cooling systems. The fan angle can also be adjusted to ensure its output is perfectly parallel to the bed, which is especially useful for printers with skewed mounting holes like mine. In addition, you can utilize my custom-designed cooling conduit, but feel free to explore other options available on Thingiverse. Screws and Nuts: A Crucial Component I used computer screws, commonly employed in motherboard mounting, to attach the first plate to the extruder carriage. You can use any M3 screw that's short enough (approximately 7mm or less) for this purpose. An M3 nut is required for the side locking mechanism; simply push it into place using a vice or pliers. Corresponding screws are also necessary, and I used old ones to secure the fan in position, adding just two extra M3 nuts to complete the job. Updates: A New Version with Improved Design I've released an updated version of this system, featuring an additional 0.25mm space between rails and a lock for improved fitment on your printer. This is my third design iteration, but it's my first official release – let's call it V3! Print Settings: Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: Infitary (hbi3) i3 Priusa clone Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.3 Infill: 35% and more Notes: Printing is relatively straightforward, but bridging may be required in some cases. I've found that setting the infill to at least 35% helps ensure the rails adhere well to the surface. I primarily used PLA for this design, but ABS is recommended for the nozzle cooling conduit due to its superior durability.
