Nozzle cap feeder (Da Vinci Mini w)
thingiverse
I've got my filament folding issues under control by designing an extension cap that fits snugly over the nozzle, keeping the filament straight and preventing it from folding in on itself near the input entrance. This cap is a game-changer for me, as it allows 1.75 mm filament to pass through with ease. If you're like me and using a Da Vinci Mini, this extension cap might be just what you need to prevent those pesky filament folds. However, I'm not sure if this part is necessary for other printers - perhaps someone else can chime in with their experiences. One thing's for sure: print settings matter! If you want a clean result, especially around the smaller end where the filament is fed through, slow down your printing speed. You'll be rewarded with a perfectly printed extension cap that doesn't need any supports or infill. Simply lay it on its largest face, and you're good to go!
