Thanks to 3D, everything old is new again. Here's an alternative way for students to queue up for your help and attention. Just hand out a 3D printed name tag to every student in your class. When they have a question but you're busy helping somebody else then they can hand you their name tag, which you put on the back of a zip tie. They'll know that their place in the queue is secure, and you're better able to focus on each student in turn. The STL uploaded to this THING is obviously just a sample of names for students. But the design of personalized nametags is an excellent modeling assignment for beginner students. Use this Inventor Studios Tinkercad tutorial to show them how. Follow the entire collection to help them develop and refine their modeling skills.InstructionsI print my kids' name tags using the PruserSlicer tool chain. The layer height is .2mm, the bed temp is 100, the hot end is set to 230.
