For efficiency, use different colored zip ties depending on the situation, such as days or instructors. As an alternative, use name tags on zip ties to avoid calling out numbers. I personally print my tickets in ABS using Makerbot tool chain with .2mm layer height, 100°C bed temperature, and 230°C hot end temperature, fitting each number onto a 100mm x 100mm bed without need for rafts or supports.
