Now Playing Marquee
thingiverse
I've always been frustrated by movie and game cases cluttering up the entertainment center or floor. For years, I've thought about creating a stand to hold the case for the movie that's playing, so everyone can see what's on and we can easily find the case when it's over. Now, with my 3D printer in hand, today I designed and printed the solution. I made some adjustments to this version from my original design. I removed a portion of the back supports but made them slightly longer and thicker. My stand was almost ready to tip over. You may need to add some weight somehow if it's tippy. Also, let me know if you'd like a wall-hangable version. I printed the box as one piece. Then I created the marquee with a layer pause so I could change filament. This design should show up as one large .STL file with everything included. I've attached a .cdr file that's actually a .zip of each part separate - just rename the extension to .zip and extract. I made this thing with Tinkercad. You can edit it online at https://www.tinkercad.com/things/cekF7tF5PGl
