Novation Dicer Platform
thingiverse
Novation Dicer platform attaches seamlessly to the side of a drum. The Novation Dicer is a palm-sized cue point and looping controller designed specifically for Digital DJs. Its compact size allows it to fit perfectly on turntables, CDJs, mixers, or laptops, exactly where you need it. The Dicer platform features adjustable design, ensuring a perfect fit on different drum sizes. This adjustability is made possible by M6 screw rods of varying lengths, providing precise control over the device's positioning. M6 Bolts secure the lower bracket, while M4 Bolts hold the upper Bracket in place. Review by R.C. I finally got to test-fit everything today on my snares and was thrilled with the results. Some pictures are attached for reference. The vertical and horizontal adjustability proved to be incredibly useful since each drum has slightly different needs and dimensions. In every case, the mechanical stability is exceptional, remaining rock-solid unless I push really hard on the furthest point. During testing, I found that pairing a "small top" with a bottom created the most versatile setup, working seamlessly on all of my snares, and providing ample room for deeper snares (although not an 8-inch one without longer bolts). While experimenting with different binding mechanisms, such as rubber bands, shoestrings, and hair ties, I discovered that hair ties work best in an all-around context. They are sturdy, resistant to tearing on the bolts, affordable, and quick to set up. The shoestring works well too, but takes some time to secure tightly.
