A friend recently asked me to create a Nova Helmet with a 3D printed star. To keep the helmet's original design intact while incorporating the 3D-printed star, I spent several hours cutting away sections of the helmet using Tinkercard. Fortunately, I was able to find Nekkus' model online. They had already done the hard work, saving me from having to create it from scratch. I simply took advantage of their file and adapted it to fit my friend's project. Once I've printed the helmet with the 3D-printed star, I'll be happy to share the print settings details so others can replicate the process.
