Nova - Ballet pose
cults3d
Ballet pose from the Nova series. The standard version comes at 1/10th scale with an attached base. This version will print without support at a slow speed when fine layer thickness is used. The 1/8th scale body measures 250mm in length. For a stable and easy print, it can be printed laying down diagonally on a typical Prusa-style printer (210mm square bed). The bottom of her feet have been extended so they fit into the base. Alternatively, to avoid marring the surface with support, a split version is also available. This version allows the top and bottom half to be printed separately at an angle. This results in the best quality and has support structures included. The split version (with thin support) can be scaled up to 200% to print at 1/4 scale on a Prusa-like printer (230mm Z-axis), resulting in a 20" tall sculpture. Good foot contact is essential for a successful print, and so the figurine stands. That's why she isn't en pointe like a typical ballerina pose. This also requires special shoes, but she is barefoot during the scan session. Nova does have ballet experience, though, making this pose legitimate.
