Notification center
thingiverse
Presented device is designed to showcase notifications from mobile phones including Facebook, Messenger, WhatsApp, and Instagram. The assumption is that the device will support devices equipped with the iOS operating system. The device relies on an Arduino Nano microcontroller for functionality. Connection between the device and phone is established through Bluetooth technology. Notifications are displayed on a high-resolution OLED display situated underneath a dark lens and illuminated by a soft ambient backlight at the base of the device, ensuring that it does not disrupt workflow. Ambient lighting in any color can be achieved thanks to an Adafriut Neopixel 24-led ring. The device incorporates the AT-09 / HM-10 Bluetooth module, which supports the BLE standard and enables continuous communication. Additional features include: The design can be easily adapted as a housing for various sensors such as temperature or humidity. Users are encouraged to modify the range of operation and add new components to the device. Software Requirements: To create the software, developers will need to select the necessary libraries. These include: - ANCS (https://github.com/robotastic/ANCS-Library) - HM-10 (https://github.com/cyborgsimon/HM_10_Serial_Port_BLE) - Neopixel Ring (https://github.com/adafruit/Adafruit_NeoPixel) - OLED display (https://github.com/adafruit/Adafruit_SSD1306) Note that the software has been postponed in terms of development. Bill of Materials: The required components include: - 5g transparent material - 140g favorite material (ABS, PLA, PET etc.) - Plexi 3mm (smoked/dark transparent, diameter 66.5mm) - Arduino Nano V3 - Adafruit NeoPixel Ring - 24 x 5050 RGB LED with Integrated Drivers - Bluetooth module AT-09/HM-10 - 0.96 inch OLED I2C display - Mini USB cable + 5V PS (i.e. phone charger) - Wires Dimensions: The device measures 80x80x32 mm without the power cord. Project Link: A link to the project can be found on the Autodesk website: https://a360.co/2J3zWCX Update (06-05-2019): Missing holes have been added and the design has been optimized for WaveShare 0.96" OLED display.
