In June 2021 I created a video to showcase the fun I'd had creating NotFoams which are 3d printed inserts for crawler tyres. It was a lot of fun and I did plan to sell them from July but a house move and new baby were my priorities so it never happened. After my video was released 3bros came out with the Anti-Foams which they had been working on for a while. These are awesome, and their inventor & manufacturer is a nice guy and we've talked a lot. In fact if you're not going to print your own NotFoams then these are the only product I would recommend. They use a fantastic proprietary filament and the tuning rod idea is great, they are absolutely worth the money and would perform well for a long time. With 3d printing people can take an idea and run with it, which is the whole point of the movement. This design here takes elements from both my idea and Anti-Foams and mixes them together: https://www.myminifactory.com/object/3d-print-4-75-tire-insert-1-9-wheel-184959. It's novel, cool and free so that's a bonus. Unfortunately there are more and more people who are now deciding to take these designs and ideas and sell them as their own invention. Which is frustrating and upsetting especially when they are pretending it's an original invention. I've decided that since I don't want to make a business out of selling inserts, I love my day job and want to push that further. So in order to let others enjoy these inserts I'm provided the STLs to you all for your own experimentation. The license is simply an attribution license, so you can even use these commercially as long as you attribute the design, or derivatives of the design to me. However I would recommend you don't spend a lot of money on prints of these STLs and get Anti-Foams instead, these are simply for people to come up with their own takes and enjoy the fun of design, R&D and 3d printing.
