Notebook stand with pencil holder

This design that I made was created to help with the problem of organization. As a student myself it can be hard to stay focused and keep all my work organized. This design helps solve multiple issues that students encounter while working from home. First, it holds notebooks, planners, or paper upright to make it easier to view while working, so the user continues to look up at both the computer screen and paper that is needed. Sometimes depending on the object that the user is attempting to hold up or the position that the user is in while working, different angles are useful for different situations. This is why the slate that has the lip to ensure that the notebook does not slide off is not attached to the stand. The stand contains slits in the bottom portion to allow the slate to slide in at the desired angle by the user. Second of all this design has a place to put your phone (on the support that holds the slate up), it is very easy to get distracted by your phone however if you put your phone in another room then you do not hear the notifications that you need. This way the user's phone is near them so they can hear the notifications they require, however it is not in direct eyesight which prevents the distraction of the phone. Lastly, this design also provides space for items such as a pen, pencils, headphones, etc. It is easy for pencils and highlighters to get lost and overtime clutter your workspace. With this little box, the user can put what they need in there and place it behind the notebook easily able to slide it in and out when needed. While having this compartment placed behind the slate that holds the notebook, it helps to conserve space. 3D printing this design is helpful and recommended so the stand is strong enough and stable enough to hold all that it is designed to. Not only does 3D printing provide durability but also smoothness, making it easier to slide the pencil holder in and out, as well as placing the slate in the desired angle. When designing this product I ran into the problem of having the angle that the notebook is held fixed or if it should be able to change, if it were to change angles how would I do this? After the conflicts that gradually came up while making this product (in measurements), I concluded with this product. If I were to redesign this product I would give it a smoother look and look for ways to make it even easier to use. Overall this design helps those who use it to stay organized and set them up for success.
