Note 8 Wireless Charging Stand

Note 8 Wireless Charging Stand

thingiverse

This is my first attempt at making a wireless charging stand for my new Note 8. The stand is sized specifically for my charger at work, which happens to be a custom Samsung disk that's not standard issue, just FYI. If you're curious, the disk measures about 10cm in diameter. The design includes a convenient wire guide and a small vent hole for heat dissipation. Yes, it was an accidental addition, but I'm choosing to justify it so I don't have to go back and fix it. I use a sleek minimalist bumper case on my phone, which I've included pictures of for reference - and, let's be honest, a little bragging is allowed since it's such an exclusive design. There's also another file available that features two cavities you can fill with pennies if you find you need a bit more weight to keep the stand stable. Although I haven't needed it myself, why not take advantage of the option? Update: I've replaced the STLs with new models that are 2mm deeper to provide plenty of clearance between my phone and charger. Note: The wire tunnel still needs some expansion to accommodate most USB cord-ends, so stay tuned for a revised file soon. Fair Warning: Because no two bumper cases are identical, you might need to scale the design up or down. If scaling down is necessary, be prepared to do some post-processing to ensure the charging disk fits properly.
