This is an updated remix of my original with specific mounting designed for a Scosche magnetic mount, providing additional mechanical grip in combination with the magnets. I created this design for use in my Lotus Elise, which features extremely stiff suspension and can be quite jarring to drive on rough roads. In contrast, it's not necessary for my SUV. UPDATE - Following extensive testing in a vehicle known for its bumpiness, I have uploaded a new model that incorporates lessons learned from real-world application. The "Stronger Model" version boasts a slight hook at the top and features strategically placed venting to enhance performance. This revised design has proven remarkably effective.
