Not so Simple Spool Holder :-)
thingiverse
Thanks to bxd2000 I found a great spool holder. I took his wheels with +0.4mm holes and larger lower parts because I have spools in various widths and was looking for a more compact version. To make it work, I made some changes on the lower part with (separate, glued in) rails and a brand new "foot" with opposite rails. The holes for bolts are bigger - perfect for M4x25 bolts. When you put rails together, you need some silicone-like grease; I used R.S.P. Slick Kick. On the foot, I used big foam pads from my stock, but you can use smaller ones and make those holes for pads smaller. It took a few days to get all settings and measures about the rails right. 31.12.20 I added a tray for filament clips that comes in handy. You can print two of them if you like - there's a place to put them on both sides. I only need one for now, but it's nice to have an extra. Be careful of the tray height; I have foam pads on the bottom and the foot is three millimeters high in the air. Take a look at the picture and you'll understand what I mean. If you like my work, you can buy me a coffee or some fine creamy stout anytime.
