Not So Minty Boost
thingiverse
A compact auxiliary battery pack designed for all USB-powered devices can be created using a SparkFun battery (http://www.sparkfun.com/products/8484) and a SparkFun charger/booster (http://www.sparkfun.com/products/10300). This pack is perfect for GPS-using hikers, like those in my group of friends, who need to keep their phones running for up to two and a half days. To build the pack, follow these steps: print all three parts of the design template, mark and drill holes for charger/booster circuit, and assemble by soldering male and female ends of a USB cable. However, note that a switch may be needed between the battery and charge/boost circuit to prevent constant draw from draining the battery.
