This is for replicas of the Not A Flamethrower. When you use the CSI XR-5 airsoft gun as the shell, the pistol grip no longer will attach to the lower receiver of the gun body. This is because the grip was bolted to the bottom of the gearbox that is no longer there. To solve this, I designed this bracket. The original Not-A-Flamethrower used a similar part they had injection molded. From the top of the lower receiver, slot it into place. There will be two horizontal tabs in the lower receiver that before acted to hold the gearbox in place. The bracket will slot into those. Then place two bolts through the through where the fire select, and the body pin were. Place nuts on the other side to secure it to the lower receiver. Get two M4 size nuts, and heat them with a lighter and insert them into the holes on the bottom. Allow the PLA to cool again, then attach the pistol grip back into place. Through the hole in bottom, place two M4 screws with a washer through the holes that previously were used to mount the pistol grip to the gear box. Once they are secured the grip should be attached through 4 anchor points with no wobble. Place the bottom pistol grip cover back on and start torching! I printed it with PVB but PLA should work as well no issues. I printed it with 60% triangular hexagon infill as it is a structural part.
