Not a 1x1 Mega Blok
thingiverse
This model was designed using OnShape. It's now available publicly online, along with the source file. A few improvements can still be made: walls appear a bit too thick and the uppermost disc is somewhat fragile. Nevertheless, this represents an initial iteration that actually yielded a working result. In reality, wall thickness averages only 0.050 inches, so solid fill isn't strictly necessary. Under 100% solid fill at 0.3mm layer thickness, completion time comes out to roughly an hour. This project is the starting point for testing OnShape - marking this as my first ever designed part and its subsequent integration with other Bloks components, specifically considering fit, shrinkage, etc. Given PLA's somewhat hard consistency in comparison to the original plastic, adjustments need to be made for easier assembly.
