Nosey

Tired of constantly checking your phone for that one crucial update - email, race/game results, new code push to GitHub, … - while at work? Add a flag to Gmail and IFTTT will take care of notifying you whenever that awaited mail has arrived. A tiny LED light in each nostril lights up upon any event set. Nosey was designed with the help of Fusion 360 and TinkerCad. The initial version in TinkerCad was created by combining pyramids, domes, and cylinders. Then, using the STL as a reference point in Fusion 360, the box for the ESP8266, LED lights, air sensor, and small battery was crafted. The air quality sensor also enables Nosey to alert the user of high CO levels in their office. When this occurs, the device will illuminate its nostril holes, prompting the user to take preventive measures such as opening a door or window or taking a short break. Best results are achieved when printed flat on its back; some support is required for the LED holder part of the case. Code available on GitHub: coming soon!
