I do extensive testing on electronics for model rockets. To transport them, I designed this nosecone. You can choose between 50mm or 80mm inside payload lengths. For instance, the file "BT-50_Nosecone_Payload_Base_35mm.stl" is suitable for use with an Estes 2246 Altimeter. If your printer is properly calibrated, you should encounter no issues assembling the pieces. Insert the coupler into the nosecone until it reaches a shoulder length of 18mm. Use CA glue to hold both parts securely in place. You may need to drill three vent holes in the nosecone; I've incorporated three dimples for orientation. Drill two small holes in the payload section and insert a kevlar string as a loop. Glue the bottom inside of the payload section with epoxy to secure the kevlar and seal off the end. Always ensure a snug fit between the nose cone and the payload section. Best regards, Leo
