The original nose cone for the Hobby-King Flycat 70mm 12-Blade EDF Jet 1042mm (41") is a brittle and delicate piece that can easily break. I learned this the hard way when I dropped my plane while painting it, causing the nose cone to shatter into pieces. To address this issue, I've created two new versions of the nose cone - one with a rounded bullet shape and another with a small elliptical end. The second design is closer to the original, but I personally prefer the first one for its unique look. This new nose cone fits perfectly on the plane where the original one used to sit, and I've found that a bit of adhesive helps keep it securely in place. Thankfully, this upgraded nose cone is significantly stronger and more flexible than the original, although it does weigh about 5 grams more.
