Nose bridge for sewn PPE mask.
thingiverse
Overview ======= This print is an extremely simple flat piece of PLA featuring strategically placed holes for hand sewing into a standard or machine sewn mask. The bridge effectively closes the gap between the nose and cheek, ensuring a precise fit and maximizing airflow through the mask rather than around it. Numerous sewing patterns are readily available online. Sewing Instructions =============== To complete this project, simply sew the straight/flat print along the top edge of the mask before sealing it shut. Alternatively, you can sew the insert to an existing mask for added convenience. The holes in the print allow for multiple sewing locations, with three or four sufficient to secure the insert effectively. Forming Instructions ================ Once your mask is complete, heat the printed insert using a low-temperature iron setting and a layer of cloth as protection. Check the plastic's flexibility every few seconds until it achieves a pliable consistency similar to cooked pasta. At this point, place the mask over your nose and gently shape the print to conform to the contours of your face.
