Norton Round Sharpening Stone Box
thingiverse
I designed this box to hold a round sharpening stone from Norton. I have two of them, the IB64 and the JB64. I built this design so that the top and bottom are exactly the same. All you need to do is print two of the same part. I plan to use these magnets and this E6000 Craft Adhesive to hold the box closed when not in use. That's what the 4 indentations are for. I ordered these brass rods to use as the hinge pins. I'm still waiting on the hinge pins, but I printed it and tested it. The hinge is a fairly tight friction fit, but that helps keep it open. Overall, I'm pretty happy with the outcome. I will use a 3mm drill to make a cleaner more consistent hole in the hinge plastic before I insert the brass rod, but I don't anticipate any issues with that.
