Northumbrian Smallpipe Chanter

Northumbrian Smallpipe Chanter

myminifactory

I started to make a set of Northumbrian Smallpipes using the dimensions from a website run by Mike Nelson.  Then I bought a set so I didn't need to continue with the project.  Here are the models of the bits I completed.  I split the chanter into bits so I could print it on my small printer.  It will need fettling and tuning.  It will need a reed.  I intended to make the side keys out of lolly sticks, using cut down safety pins for hinge pins and springs or just use something like blue tack to bung the holes up.  I've included the whole model before it was cut into sections and modified to reduce supports needed for those who have the capacity (292mm).
