The model is nearly life-sized, textured, and boasts animatable components such as ailerons, flaps, rudder, elevators, main and tail landing gear, and doors. A detailed cockpit is visible from the outside. The model comes in various formats and is armed with missiles and rockets. The Northrop F-5-G Tiger initiated development that led to the creation of the F-20-A Tigershark, featuring a larger single engine and enhanced performance compared to earlier F-5 models. Originally developed by private investors to sell advanced lightweight fighters to foreign allies without risking sensitive avionics, the Northrop F-20 was ultimately canceled in 1986 due to mixed results. Some were purchased by the US Air Force and others by National Guard units.
