Featuring near-to-scale construction and full texture, this model boasts an array of animatable features such as ailerons, flaps, rudder, elevators, main and tail landing gear, and doors. The detailed model includes a visible cockpit and is armed with missiles and rockets. Available in diverse formats, the Northrop F-5-G Tiger was the beginning of a development process that led to the F-20-A Tigershark – an advanced lightweight fighter equipped with a larger single engine for enhanced performance compared to earlier F-5 Tigers. Initially developed by private investors to supply foreign allies without compromising advanced avionics of more sophisticated fighters like F-15 and F-16, the Northrop F-20 project was terminated in 1986 due to limited success. Some were acquired by the US Air Force and others by National Guard units.
