The near-scale, fully textured model offers animatable features such as ailerons, flaps, rudder, elevators, main & tail landing gear, plus doors. The cockpit is accessible through a class view, while it also carries missiles and rockets. Available in various formats, the Northrop F-5G Tiger led to the development of the F-20A Tigershark with enhanced performance via a larger single engine. Initially, private investors sought to sell this advanced lightweight fighter to overseas allies without risking sensitive avionics. However, the project was cancelled in 1986 despite some successes; some models were sold to the US Air Force and National Guard units.
