The model is nearly life-sized, fully textured, and features animatable elements such as ailerons, flaps, rudder, elevators, main and tail landing gear, and doors. The cockpit is detailed, accessible through a class view, and the model comes equipped with missiles and rockets. Formatted in various ways, this Northrop F-5-G Tiger evolved from a development program leading to the F-20-A Tigershark, which boasted enhanced performance due to its larger single engine. Initially, private investors sought to sell an advanced lightweight fighter to overseas allies without compromising more advanced F-15 and F-16 avionics. However, in 1986, the project was cancelled after limited success; some models were sold to the US Air Force and National Guard units.
