This highly detailed model is almost life-size and fully textured, featuring animateable parts such as ailerons, flaps, rudder, elevators, main and tail landing gear, and doors. It also has a visible cockpit and can carry missiles and rockets. Available in various formats, it was succeeded by the Northrop F-20-A Tigershark - an upgraded version with enhanced performance due to its larger single engine. Initially, private investors developed this advanced lightweight fighter for foreign allies without risking sophisticated avionics falling into Soviet hands; however, the project ended in 1986 despite some achievements. Some units were purchased by the US Air Force and National Guard units.
