The Africa 3D model amplifies its elevation 25 times higher than normal. Spain, Italy, Greece, Bulgaria, Albania, Georgia, Tunisia, Algeria, Libya, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Syria, Sudan, Ethiopia, South Sudan, Chad, Niger, Nigeria, and the Northern part of the Congo Basin feature prominently on this model. Data from ETOPO2's earth elevation files formed the basis for it. Specifically, a single 32-tile dataset was used to generate this 3D image. To validate the 25 times magnification factor, Italian volcanoes like Stromboli and Etna will be measured relative to Sicily's width to see how tall they really are.\nThe third photo highlights Nigeria and its life-giving Niger River. Vast expanses of the Sahara Desert reveal enormous areas previously assumed to be sandy dunes are instead remarkably flat regions.
