Gypsum wall panel relief depicts Ashurnasirpal II majestically standing alone, wearing the royal cap with a pointed projection and lappets, along with a long garment that falls to his ankles, complemented by sandals and armlets and bracelets. He confidently grasps the staff of royalty in his right hand while resting his left on the handle of his sword. Two daggers are discreetly tucked into a fold of his garment just above his waist. The royal garments feature decorative borders adorned with clusters of palm-leaves and fruit, rosettes, horned animals, and palm-trees, as well as a mounted archer, winged protective spirit, rosette, lion, man, and eagle. Cuneiform script inscriptions are prominently displayed on the panel. Originally situated at the head of a room in the private section of the palace. Dating to 865 - 860 BC Discovered in Ashurnasirpal II's North West Palace, Room S (head of room) Panel 3 at Nimrud. Panel measurements: Height 324.6 centimetres Width 147.3 centimetres
