Gypsum wall panel relief showcases tributes being presented in a carved format. One tribute bearer sports a distinctive North West Syrian turban, while clenched fists are raised in submission; another may be of Phoenician origin, offering a pair of apes as gift. A cuneiform inscription, partially filled with white, tells the story. Originally adorned with black paint at the top, this panel has been meticulously preserved. Unearthed from Ashurnasirpal II's North West Palace, Court D (throne room), Panel 7, this relic dates back to a precise time frame of 865BC-860BC. Measuring 262.89 centimetres in height and 248.92 centimetres in width, it takes its rightful place among the ancient treasures.
