North Hills Swing replacement canopy nuts. Replacing my North Hills Swing's canopy led to several broken captured nuts that hold the canopy pole to the side of the frame. We've loved this swing, with its two glass tables up front and sturdy construction considering we never remove the canopy or cushions. Finding parts was impossible except for the canopy itself. I designed new nuts using the tangs that hold the barrel in the canopy tube, but inserting M6 nuts into the printed model proved difficult without halting the printer. So, I eliminated the tangs and ran the M6 Hex nut all the way down to the base. I'll either glue these nuts into the tubes or melt some plastic through the tang holes using a soldering iron. If you're making this design, let me know – it's just curiosity about how many are out there. Update: Rev2 has slightly larger hexagonal holes and screw thread holes, both of which were too tight on test fits. Scaling up by a couple of percent might have worked, as the fit was only slightly loose in the pole. Rev5 should be the final version – I've figured out how to precisely align the centers. The design fits snugly into the poles now. This model was made using Tinkercad; edit it online at https://www.tinkercad.com/things/eCuH3C2q5K5.
