PRUSA i3 Steel features a 12"x12"x12" work area, along with included DXF files for it. This design leverages the common 10 Gauge steel found in the U.S. It can be set up to use either V slot or traditional round rod guides, making it ideal for upgrading from smaller units. For correct mounting, there are four PSU patterns available: 1. First pattern is suitable for Chinese S-360-12 2. Second pattern recommends Mean Well Power Supply RSP-500-12 3. Third pattern uses Mean well Power Supply RSP-750-12 4. Fourth pattern utilizes Mean Well Power supply RSP-1000-12 A generic X plate is included for V slot configuration, along with an X plate motor mount and idler plate. The top has additional mounting points for different accessories. Most PRUSA i3 steel accessories are interchangeable except Y idler prints. This design does not support full 12" x or z travel with dual extruder but should be able to achieve it with single extruder depending on style. It does not include spool mounts, nor provisions for y-axis lead screw capabilities. Cutting of V slot is necessary to fit. Download the latest version for minor upgrades as it includes matching Z rod brackets and bed. Z rods can be swapped with metal ones in round rod configurations via a special update available on Thingiverse under #1154729. For the most recent file updates, download the latest version as minimal changes will be done for the free downloadable files. Instructions: Minimal plastic is used in this V Slot setup, with all hardware sourced from Open Builds Store. Avoid using cheap Chinese power supplies; they consume too much power at 12 inches of bed width. Once up and running, consider upgrading key components. Find the most suitable replacements on NCS Stuff. The provided Y Axis belt mount for round rod configurations is temporary and does not perform well. Recommend printing metal Y travel end stops immediately for accuracy and precision. Consider a y-motor spacer for added stability. In the event of using the micron extruder in a V slot configuration, you'll find that most assembly steps won't require additional parts to be printed initially.
