The RA-5 Vigilante, a two-seater aircraft, was derived from the A-5 naval bomber (formerly A3J) and saw significant action during the Vietnam War as a tactical reconnaissance plane. It boasted a speed of mach 2, powered by two robust engines, and possessed a sleek design despite its substantial size. The RA-5C variant produced 156 aircraft, with some A-5B models being modified for reconnaissance purposes. Although the RA-5C and A-5B differed in electronic equipment, they shared an almost identical configuration, enabling the recce versions to carry ordnance and function as bombers if needed. The RA-5 Vigilante entered service with the US Navy in 1962, remaining operational until 1981. Models of the RA-5 Vigilante have been printed at scales of 1:100 and 1:285 using a 0.4mm nozzle and 0.12mm layers. The image displayed on the Cura screen depicts the position where I attempted to print the model.
