The Discovery Channel-originated model boasts numerous intricate details such as the engine compartment, cockpit, and internal components. It also features animateable aspects like the propeller and spinner, ailerons, elevators, flaps, landing gear, and doors. Furthermore, structural elements are included within the wing and fuselage. The nearly-to-scale model comes with textures and materials and is available in various formats. Initially designed with a Merlin 61 engine for improved performance, five Mustang Mk X aircraft were converted, followed by mass production of Mustangs equipped with Packard-built Merlin engines featuring dual superchargers.
