This intricately detailed model was designed for the Discovery Channel and boasts numerous features such as an engine compartment, cockpit, and various internal components. It also includes an animateable propeller and spinner, ailerons, elevators, flaps, landing gear, and doors. Additionally, some structural elements are incorporated into the wing and fuselage. The model is almost to scale, comes with textures and materials, and is available in multiple formats. The Mustang Mk X was equipped with a Merlin 61 engine featuring a two-speed, two-stage supercharger, significantly enhancing performance. Five aircraft were initially converted, and subsequently, Mustangs were produced for the British using a Packard-built Merlin Engine with dual superchargers. These versatile planes served in numerous theaters and areas.
