The AT-6 was an armed variant of the T-6 Texan produced by North American Aircraft. Serving as a trainer and ground support attack aircraft for the Army Air Forces, Navy, Marines, and allied forces during World War II, the AT-6 played a pivotal role. The armed version typically featured two 30-caliber machine guns positioned in the nose ahead of the cockpit and one or more 30-caliber machine guns installed in the rearward-facing gunner's seat.
