The AT-6 was a heavily armed variant of the T-6 Texan, built by North American Aircraft. During World War II, it served as both a trainer and ground attack aircraft for the Army Air Forces, Navy, Marines, and other Allied forces. This armed version typically featured two 30-caliber machine guns in front of the cockpit and one or two 30-caliber machine guns mounted behind the rear gunner's seat. These surplus aircraft were sold to civilian pilots and utilized as trainers, aerobatic planes for air shows, and were also restored by private owners. Today, the AT-6 and T-6 are owned by a large number of private individuals.
